Every project offers four views. List, Board, and Calendar present the project’s issues, while Activity presents its history. Switching views does not change your data. Choose your default under Settings → Account → Preferences. That preference is stored in your browser and applies when you open a project. Switching tabs on a project changes the current view without replacing your saved default.

List

The default, table-style view. It’s the most powerful view for working through a large backlog:
  • Sortable by ID, title, status, assignee, priority, labels, last updated, start date, or end date, in either direction
  • Searchable by title, description, ID, or labels
  • Filterable by status, priority, labels, and assignee — including a filter for unassigned issues
  • Paginated on the server, so large projects stay fast
  • Hierarchical — expand and collapse parent issues to review their sub-issues
  • Configurable — show, hide, and resize columns, including the issue type column, and choose a compact, comfortable, or spacious row height

Board

A drag-and-drop board that can group issues by Priority or broad Status category. Orbit remembers the selected grouping in your browser.
  • Priority columns are High Priority, Medium Priority, and Low Priority.
  • Status columns are Open, In Progress, and Done. These are broad categories, not one column per detailed workflow status. An issue still displays its type-specific status on its detail page.
Drag a card into another column to change the field used for grouping. In status mode, Orbit maps the destination category to a status in the issue type’s workflow. It rejects the move and restores the card if your role cannot make that change or the workflow does not allow the transition.

Calendar

Calendar lays issues out from their start and end dates. An issue appears on every day in its date range. An issue without a start date does not appear, even if it has an end date.
  • Switch between Month and Week.
  • Use the arrows to move to the previous or next period, or select Today.
  • Use the colored edge on each issue to read its priority.
  • Hover over an issue for a preview, or select it to open the issue page.
  • Review open issues with an end date in Upcoming Deadlines, including overdue work.
The Calendar uses every issue that matches the current search and filters, rather than only one List page.

Activity

Activity shows the 50 latest changes recorded for the project. Entries identify who made a change and when it happened. Changes made by the same person within the same minute are grouped together. The search and issue filter bar is hidden in this view because Activity shows events, not issue rows. See Activity log for the details.

Switching views

Use the tabs at the top of a project or press 1, 2, 3, or 4 to open List, Board, Calendar, or Activity. The search, filters, and saved filters remain available in List, Board, and Calendar.
